I'm working on this now. What kind of error are you getting? I've never had an error on any of my servers wtih this.  I'm working on changing to function safefilerewrite($fileName, $dataToSave) { $security1 = ';<?php'; $security2 = 'die();?>';   to see if it has any adverse affects

it's just the editor 'visual studio code' (and others), which claim, that the code isn't valid due to missing ';'
