Be sure to check if its already encoded before you try to re-encode it, I think its possible to double encode something? Some users may have already begun encoding on their own since the metadata was added, and we don't want to break their functionality by duplicating this. There is a validateJson function that can be used for this.

I think I'm only going to do this right now if the entire message passed to the logger is an object or array. I'm not going to try to parse out something like "Received [array] from login form"
